The Technology Behind Invisicare:
What is a Polymer?
In general, the word polymer means: many parts. The polymers that make up Invisicare are made of both synthetic and natural polymers. These polymers are combined together in a patented process to create the final delivery system.
What is Invisicare?
Invisicare is an innovative, patented delivery system that is designed to enhance product performance. It combines hydrophilic and hydrophobic polymers into stable complexes in water emulsions. Its formula is designed for water-based creams and lotions to carry water-insoluble active ingredients without the use of alcohol, silicones, waxes or other organic solvents.
Invisicare has the proven ability to bond active ingredients to the skin for up to 4 hours and longer, while at the same time allowing the skin to breathe and perspire normally. The result is a protective bond, resistant to wash-off, delivering targeted levels of therapeutic or cosmetic skincare agents directly onto the skin. Over time, the invisible polymer compositions wear off as part of the natural exfoliation process.
How is it used?
Skinvisible's Invisicare is a patented group of polymers that can bind a product's active ingredients to the skin for up to 4 hours and longer. Invisicare enhances products by extending the effects of active ingredients used in hand sanitizers, sunscreens and most topical ointments/lotions in dermatology.

The Five Series of Invisicare
Invisicare is available in a series of formulations which are specifically customized for each active ingredient. There are 5 Invisicare Choices:
M-Series
Polymer complex that forms a bond with skin, resists wash-off, and is self-emulsifying in water. Requires neutralization and emulsifies at 65° C.
pH range is 6.0 - 8.0
C-Series
Polymer base that uses CM Cellulose as its hydrophilic component. Excellent skin adherence. No neutralization required and emulsifies at 50° C. Versions are available for increased solubility or to carry higher active loads.
pH range is 2.0 - 8.0
D-Series
Polymer base that uses Dextran as its hydrophilic component. Best utility will be when combined with other polymers. Very stable emulsions without neutralization.
pH range is 3.0 - 8.0
P-Series
Polymer base that uses Polyvinyl Pyrrolidone as its hydrophilic component. Four versions designed for specific uses including high viscosity, film-forming, no water and use with organic solvents.
pH range is 3.5 - 8.0
S-Series
Polymer bases that use starch as their hydrophilic component. Non-occlusive with excellent skin adherence. Can be designed for increased solubility or to carry higher active loads. No neutralization and emulsifies at 50° C.
pH range is 3.0 - 8.0
