Skinvisible® Receives Health Canada Approval to Market Its Chlorhexidine Hand Sanitizer Lotion

A hand sanitizer with its patented drug delivery system Invisicare® is effective at killing both bacteria and viruses like the H5N1 "Bird Flu"

LAS VEGAS, NV. December 19, 2006 - Skinvisible, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SKVI), today announced that it's wholly owned subsidiary, Skinvisible Pharmaceuticals, Inc. has received approval from Health Canada for the marketing of it's new Chlorhexidine Hand Sanitizer Lotion with its patented delivery system Invisicare®.

Independent studies confirm the Chlorhexidine Hand Sanitizer Lotion to be effective at killing bacteria (ie. E-coli, pseudomonas aeruginosa, MRSA) and viruses (ie. H5N1 "Bird Flu", Influenza A & B, Hepatitis C, Clostridium difficile), instantly and for up to 4 hours.

Skinvisible sees the product as being an adjunct or replacement to the use of alcohol hand sanitizers in hospitals and elsewhere. Alcohol while effective immediately, has no long-term kill on germs and due to the damaging effect that continual use of alcohol can have on skin many institutions are now adding skin moisturizers to their hand regime. Skinvisible's Chlorhexidine Hand Sanitizer Lotion with moisturizers, offers both an instant and long term kill on germs while it's polymer delivery system, Invisicare binds to the skin acting as a barrier in preventing the absorption of soaps and most noxious chemicals from penetrating the skin.

This recent approval from Health Canada has been an important achievement for Skinvisible as its business model is focused on licensing its proprietary formulations with Invisicare® to pharmaceutical companies worldwide. "This approval of our Chlorhexidine Hand Sanitizer Lotion allows us to continue to expand our product offerings. Companies in Canada have shown an interest in licensing the Chlorhexidine Hand Sanitizer Lotion, and now it is available for market to the healthcare industry" said Terry Howlett, President and CEO of Skinvisible. "The company will be seeking approvals in other countries including the US and Europe and through our marketing partnership with EMD/Merck KGaA of Darmstadt, Germany, we are also seeking an approval for the product in South East Asia."
